As R K Henshall approaches 50 years in business this year, we reflect on the business that we are today and the people who make that happen.
This month, we celebrate Melanie, our longest-serving team member.
We spoke to Mel about her time at R K Henshall:
Mel joined R K Henshall on the Youth Training Scheme in 1992.
Today, Mel is our Personal Lines Manager, leading the team that looks after our clients’ home, car and travel insurance needs.
Over the years, Mel has completed six marathons and six half marathons to raise money for Lupus UK. This is a charity close to many here at R K Henshall, after a previous staff member was personally impacted by the illness.
What has been your favourite part of your 34 years with R K Henshall?
“Watching the business grow from a small, friendly independent broker to being part of The Ardonagh Group, gaining the benefits of a global organisation while maintaining the same personal touch that my team and I pride ourselves on. I’ve built my career at R K Henshall and made lifelong friends along the way.”
