Unfortunately, things do not always go to plan when you go on holiday, so travel insurance is vital. From the moment you book, you are in the hands of various other parties that can make or break your trip ranging from the flight operator to the hotel or apartment where you are staying.
You also have to consider the lost luggage, theft of jewellery or watches, accidental damage to personal items, weather events like storms and probably most worrying, having an accident or become seriously ill abroad.

Single Trips
Single trip cover is a travel insurance policy for a one-off holiday.
Annual Multi Trips
If you go away twice or more every year, it could work out cheaper to buy annual travel insurance compared to buying single trip policies.
Long Stay Trips
Long-stay travel insurance is cover that protects you on longer-term trips. Most standard travel policies will only cover you for holidays of up to 31 days. Long-stay travel insurance generally covers trips lasting up to 18 months.
Many of the policies we can provide do not exclude cover for medical costs you may incur whilst abroad which relate to the treatment of pre-existing medical conditions.
Insurers typically define a pre-existing medical condition as any illness or injury you’ve experienced symptoms of, treatment for or medical appointments in respect of within the last two years. This may include diabetes, COPD, heart disease or cancer. Declaring all pre-existing conditions on your policy can help to avoid unwanted medical bills should you require treatment when abroad.
Though we typically can source travel insurance for you which includes pre-existing medical conditions cover, there may be rare occasions when those insurers we have access to our unwilling to provide this or look to charge a significant additional premium. In such cases we recommend our customers visit BIBA’s online travel insurance directory, this is a list of insurers, and brokers whom offer specialist cover. This can be found at BIBA online travel insurance directory
