In June, we hosted our annual summer golf day at Crewe Golf Club. This year, the R K Henshall golf day was an extra special event, as although our annual golf days haven’t been running for quite this long, 2026 marks our 50th anniversary of operating as a business.
56 golfers took to the greens, on what was a contender for our hottest golf day yet. We kept the water bottles coming, and with a few layers of sun cream and a stop at the halfway house for snacks, our 14 teams completed a full 18 holes of golf.
We then had 75 staff and clients sit down for dinner that evening in the club house, and for the presentation of prizes for our winning teams and competitions.
Over the course of the day, £680 was raised for charity, to be shared between two charities close to the hearts of many here at R K Henshall.
The Patryk Milner Memorial Fund was founded in memory of seven-year-old Patryk Milner, who passed away in 2020. Patryk’s family, local community and their Run4Patryk Fundraising Events, raise money to support sports development in the community for juniors of all ages.
Lupus UK is the only national registered charity supporting people with lupus and helping those being diagnosed. A previous member of staff at R K Henshall sadly passed away from the disease, and both individual members of staff, and we as a business, have raised funds for the charity many times over the years.
