John has 20 years of insurance broking experience. John has been awarded the Advanced Diploma in Insurance by the Chartered Institute and has achieved his Certificate in Financial Services.
John is particularly experienced in the arrangement of covers for construction customers and advises across all classes including speciality lines for clients.
John is a keen sportsman having played rugby at local level for both Penrith and Sandbach. He was captain of Sandbach squash club for many years and continues to play in the North West league.

Allen has over 15 years experience in commercial insurance having worked for a mixture of large and smaller insurers before moving in to an Insurance broking role. He is responsible for the RK Henshall online trading through the Hensure Brand and also has overall responsibility for a number of delegated Authority binders that operate within the Underwriting Agency. In his spare time he likes to play golf and is also the drummer in a covers band.

Tim began his insurance career at a national firm before working for Willis and Marsh – two of the globes largest three brokers. Whilst there he looked after a variety of corporate clients, including FTSE 100 companies and household names in the retail, manufacturing, food and drink, automotive and aviation sectors. Tim moved to London with Marsh to assist private equity funds manage the insurances of their portfolio companies, in addition to advising upon those risks associated with takeovers, mergers, divestments and public listings. Tim then moved “in house” to oversee the global insurance program of a former client – Dyson, before joining RK Henshall in late 2019 as the director of our commercial department.

Angela started her career in banking and investments. She transferred to the construction industry in 1994 where she qualified as an accountant and took on the role of Financial Controller. Angela joined RK Henshall in 2013 and is responsible for the financial management, HR and compliance functions of the business.
She is also an RAF Reservist and devotes much of her spare time to keeping fit.

Phil has nearly 30 years of broking experience, specialising in the Construction and Motor Trade Industry.
As Client Director, Phil works within the corporate business department managing a book of existing customers, introducing new clients and working with the relevant Account Executives, Senior Leadership teams and the Claims department to develop and retain existing high profile clients.
Outside of RK Henshall, Phil enjoys spending time with his son and is a keen cricketer. His true passion is Motorsport and Track days and follows the British Touring Cars all over the country.

Dan has worked in the insurance industry for over 25 years, the last 12 years of which were working for National brokers Swinton Commercial and Jelf Insurance.
Dan prides himself on providing a professional, hands on approach and enjoys providing the ‘face to face’ personal service that he feels commercial clients should benefit from. Clients will be guided through a thorough review and recommendations will be made in a friendly and professional manner. Dan has an interest in all types of general insurance and has particular strengths in Motor Trade, Haulage, Construction, Charities and Social Welfare risks.
Away from the office Dan has a real enthusiasm for live music, going to the cinema and reading crime and fantasy novels.

Russell has worked in the insurance industry for over 14 years a decade of which was spent at Towergate. He has in-depth commercial insurance experience across a wide variety of industries with a particular affinity for Contractors/Construction and Motor Trade.
His clients benefit from excellent customer service stemming from his attention to detail and extensive knowledge of general insurance, engineering insurance, general liability and professional indemnity. They can also take advantage of his ability to fully understand their business and associated exposures to risks which in conjunction with his broad understanding of the insurance market enables him to source a risk transfer programme which is both robust and meets the clients requirements from a cover and price perspective.
Outside of his working life Russell enjoys healthy living/eating, spending time with his brother, friends and pet chow chow together with learning how to snow- board.

Ross joined us in July 2021, bringing with him years of experience in insurance.
After completing a Bachelors and Master’s degree at University, Ross moved into the insurance industry. He has several years of experience in the insurance industry, having worked for a number of well-known Insurance companies prior to moving to Insurance Broking.
Ross is a keen climber and recently took up a new hobby of canoeing.

Colin has over 18 years insurance experience in both Commercial Broking and claims over a wide range of niches.
Colin is Cert CII and Cert CILA qualified which are industry recognised qualifications within the insurance claims and loss adjusting sectors enabling RK Henshall to competently manage and advise on all claims including property damage, liability and motor.
Outside of his working life, Colin enjoys playing Sunday League Football, Coaching for Hanley Town FC, playing golf and going to music gigs.

Melanie started work at RK Henshall in 1992 as a trainee straight from school and has progressed to Personal lines team manager. She is responsible for the growth and development of all our “Insurance for You” products and her team of experienced advisors.
Outside of RK Henshall Melanie loves spending quality time with her children and keeping fit.
Melanie has recently completed her second London Marathon raising money for our company charity Lupus UK, a charity dear to our hearts here at RK Henshall.

Stacey joined RK Henshall & Co Ltd in April 2013 where she has recently moved into a supporting role as Protection and Healthcare Consultant. Within the financial services business she has specific responsibility for employee benefits products such as private medical insurance, group life and general protection policies.
Previous to working at RK Henshall, Stacey’s background has been mainly in customer services for a variety of financial services firms. Stacey has incorporated this knowledge into her current role wherever possible in order to make sure that our clients get the best possible service.
Outside of work Stacey enjoys going to the gym and doing action packed challenges. She is also a keen singer in a band and enjoy socializing with friends and family.
